Arts Council England works to get more art to more people in more places. We develop and promote the arts across England, acting as an independent body at arm's length from government.

Between 2006 and 2008, we will invest £1.1 billion of public money from government and the National Lottery in supporting the arts. This is the bedrock of support for the arts in England.

The River Nene Regional Park is an independent Community Interest Company creating a green infrastructure network of environmental projects extending from Daventry to Peterborough linking the towns of Northampton, Towcester, Wellingborough, Kettering and Corby. 

Some of the River Nene Regional Park projects include the award winning Tree Top Way at Salcey Forest, the innovative facilities at Stanwick Lakes and Top Lodge at Fineshade Woods. Funding is also being invested into community projects through the environmental grants scheme focussing on areas identified by the River Nene Regional Park as being key to the environmental network. All of these projects are bringing about change on the ground and enhancing the environmental assets that we already have.
