FINALLY GOT ROUND TO IT
Amidst moving to Linden Rd - which I hope to be of use for occasional events, I have finally got round to putting something down.
The Fishmarket certainally looks good. The Composers Assocation were only talking yesterday about how we could use the space for a one off over the summer. There is a feeling in the air that this year things could really happen. As someone cursed with a position of NAC committee member I am TOO regularly greeted with moans that the NAC is a monopoly of 'in house' events. If that is so, then it is only because no one else thinks about what they could do and actually get on with it We are honoured to have the whole arts community (however loosely you wish to define the term) under our banner. Relating back to last nights board meeting, it was our non NAC committee treasurer and not me that suggested we should use the Fishmarket and get best represented by NAC. In fact I, for one, look forward to the NAC becoming more and more. Am organisating an event with an excellent speaker and artist in the next month. Watch this space.
