After taking A-Level photography at Northampton College, I graduated with an Honours Degree in Photomedia and Design Communications from University of Plymouth in 2007.

Looking is a human experience. Looking can be random and vague or a deliberate, selective and discriminating act. We seek, we observe, we absorb information through our looking. When we photograph, we crystalise our looking experience. Presenting our looking to others can be a personal experience; we say 'This is what I saw'.

As an artist, I aim to intensify my looking, to transcend the 'pretty picture' and to express a personal vision through my photography. Photographing in the landscape and still-life genres, I use both monochrome and colour.

Film continues to be my choice of photographic media; medium-format offers the best compromise between equipment flexibility and image quality.

My current project, a personal exploration of Northampton's Delapre Woods, is called 'Forest Floor'.
